The title of this suite refers to the headdress (the glen") worn by the cadets of the Lorne Scots Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps, and the "galley" is the Galley of Lorne, which is displayed on the coat of arms for the Dukes of Argyll. This piece is set in three contrasting sections, each with a Scottish feel: "The Sapling Grows, " "Colonel Parker, " and "For Our Heritage.

With a real western, horse galloping feel, this exciting original work explodes out of the gate with great melodies, colorful percussion and fun parts for all. Revelations is a piece with a dark, heroic drive to it, almost as if it reflected a biblical revelation. It opens in a alternating 6/8, 3/4 groove with the lower voices and then builds. Firey rhythms and great contrasting melodies and countermelodies make this powerful piece a great choice for audiences and for the band playing it. (3:30)
